Campbellton – Dalhousie – Atholville, N.B. – Employees of Tim Hortons, as well as staff members and volunteers of the Friends of Healthcare Foundation, joined efforts again this year and raised a total of $12,205 for the Foundation through the Smile Cookie Campaign, making the activity a huge success.

These tasty cookies were available between September 12 and 18, 2016 at the four Tim Hortons locations across the Restigouche area and, for the first time, at the main entrance of the Campbellton Regional Hospital.

“We are happy to continue supporting the Friends of Healthcare Foundation” said Jack MacMillan. “This year, with a team effort, we have achieved very good results once again. This activity is a success across the board and I want to thank the public for its outstanding support.”

For his part, Mike Doiron, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Healthcare Foundation stated: “This is the fourteenth year that the Foundation has partnered with Tim Hortons within the scope of this initiative. The proceeds will again go towards healthcare services for children in the Restigouche area.”

The Executive Director of the Friends of Healthcare Foundation, Jean-Luc Landry, said he was quite pleased with the outcome of the 2016 Smile Cookie Campaign. “It’s so wonderful to see how much community members in the Restigouche value and support their local foundation – their support is truly world-class. Thank you so much to the residents of the Restigouche region. A special thank-you also goes out to Jack MacMillan and his Tim Hortons employees in Atholville, Campbellton, and Dalhousie. Many thanks also to the volunteers for their generous donation of time and to everyone else who participated in this fundraiser that made it possible for us to raise an impressive amount of nearly $100,000 since 2003!”
