Campbellton, N.B. – Employees of Vision Ford, as well as staff members and volunteers of the Friends of Healthcare Foundation, joined forces and raised a total of $5,620 for the Foundation through the Ford Test Drive event, making the activity a huge success.

On June 6, as part of Ford Canada’s Drive 4UR Community Program, people from the community had the opportunity to make a donation to the Foundation without spending a penny. From 9 a.m., at the parking of the Campbellton Regional Hospital, each time someone test drove a brand new Ford vehicle, Ford Canada would donate $20 to the Foundation. No purchase necessary and guaranteed fun!

“We are pleased to support the Friends of Healthcare Foundation and help maintain and improve health care services in our community”, stated Mr. Gaétan Paquet. “This was a first time with the Foundation, and we will have this event again in June 2016. I would like to thank the public for their support and invite them to come back next year.”

The Executive Director of the Friends of Healthcare Foundation, Mr. Jean-Luc Landry, is quite pleased that the Foundation could benefit from Ford Canada’s Drive 4UR Community Program this past June. “It is nice to see how Restigouche businesses support their local Foundation; this kind of support is really unique. I would like to thank Mr. Gaétan Paquet, Sales Director and Mr. Jeff Paradis, Marketing Manager as well as the entire Vision Ford team in Atholville. Thank you also to Réjean Levesque of Provigo Pointe-à-la-Croix for providing the barbecue and hot dogs, to the volunteers who donated their time and to the population who took part in this fund raising event by making a test drive.”
