Atholville – Campbellton, N.B. – During this year’s McHappy Day held on May 4th, the amount of $2,179.97 was raised at the McDonald’s restaurants in Campbellton and Atholville; the restaurants are both owned by Mr. Guy Guérette.
Throughout the event, for every Big Mac®, McCafé® beverage, and Happy Meal® sold, the restaurants pledged to donate a $1 towards McHappy Day. Of the total amount raised, 75% went to the Friends of Healthcare Foundation and 25% went to Ronald McDonald Houses. This donation will be used to purchase a waterless milk warmer for the Obstetric-Gynecology Department.
Mr. Jean-Luc Landry, Executive Director of the Friends of Healthcare Foundation, is very proud and appreciative of the support offered by the people of the Restigouche and would like to thank everyone who donated their time during the event.
Ms. Nancy Nicol, Chairperson of the Friends of Healthcare Foundation thanks the owner of the local McDonald’s restaurants for choosing the Foundation once again. “It is through partnerships such as this one that the Foundation can further improve services for the residents of the Restigouche.”
Martine and Guy Guérette would like to thank the staff of the Campbellton and Atholville McDonald’s restaurants as well as Ms. Josée Truchon, who has brilliantly coordinated the McHappy Day event for all the McDonald’s restaurants that they operate.
