Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign raises $11,150 for the Friends of Healthcare Foundation

Campbellton – Dalhousie – Atholville, N.B. – Employees of Tim Hortons, as well as staff members and volunteers of the Friends of Healthcare Foundation, joined efforts again this year and raised a total of $11,150 through the Smile Cookie Campaign, making the activity a huge success.  This amount will be used to purchase a Pro-Nox system and a vital signs monitor for the Obstetric/Gynecology Department at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.

These tasty cookies were available between September 17 and 23, 2018 at the four Tim Hortons locations across the Restigouche area.

“We are happy to continue supporting the Friends of Healthcare Foundation” said Mr. Jack MacMillan. “This year, with a team effort, we have achieved very good results once again. This activity is a success across the board and I want to thank the public for its outstanding support.”

For his part, Mr. Yves Goudreau, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Healthcare Foundation stated: “This is the 16th year that the Foundation has partnered with Tim Hortons within the scope of this initiative. The proceeds will again go towards healthcare services for children in the Restigouche area.”

The Executive Director of the Friends of Healthcare Foundation, Mr. Jean-Luc Landry, said he was quite pleased with the outcome of the 2018 Smile Cookie Campaign. “It’s so wonderful to see how much community members in the Restigouche value and support their local Foundation – their support is truly world-class. Thank you so much to the residents of the Restigouche region. A special thank-you also goes out to Mr.Jack MacMillan and his Tim Hortons employees in Atholville, Campbellton, and Dalhousie. Also many thanks to the volunteers for their generous donation of time and to everyone else who participated in this fundraiser by buying these tasty cookies which made it possible for us to raise an impressive amount of over $118,000 since 2003!”
