Record amount of $18,131 from the SMILE COOKIE Campaign for the Friends of Healthcare Foundation

Campbellton – Dalhousie – Atholville, N.B. – Employees of Tim Hortons, as well as staff members and volunteers of the Friends of Healthcare Foundation, joined efforts again this year and raised a total of $18,131 through the Smile Cookie Campaign, making the activity a huge success and a RECORD year. This amount will be used to purchase a NeoBlue LED Blanket for the treatment of newborns jaundice in the Obstetric/Gynecology Department at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.

These tasty cookies were available between September 16 and 22, 2019 at the four Tim Hortons locations across the Restigouche area.

“We are happy to continue supporting the Friends of Healthcare Foundation” said Mrs. Karen Gallant. “This year was a record year, we sold over 6000 more cookies compare to the previous years. This activity is a success across the board and I want to thank the public for its outstanding support.”

For his part, Mr. Yves Goudreau, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Healthcare Foundation stated: “This is the 17th year that the Foundation has partnered with Tim Hortons within the scope of this initiative. The proceeds will again go towards healthcare services for children in the Restigouche area.”
