Atholville, N.B. – The vocal ensemble “Chante la Vie” presented a cheque for $44,339.30 to the Friends of Healthcare Foundation. This money was raised as part of the group’s spring concert, held last May 21 at Salle Alma in Atholville. Additional amounts are still to come. The concert was free, but attendees had the opportunity to make a voluntary contribution.
The vocal ensemble Chante la Vie transported the audience to a world of rare emotion, singing for them a range of semi-classical and pop songs.
The Foundation will use the money towards the purchase a Specimen Radiology System for the Diagnostic Imaging Department of the Campbellton Regional Hospital to help the fight against cancer in our community.
“We are thrilled that the vocal ensemble Chante la Vie chose to donate the proceeds from its concert to the Friends of Healthcare Foundation,” said Jean-Luc Landry, Executive Director of the Friends of Healthcare Foundation. “I would like to thank the Chante la Vie ensemble under the direction of Anne Cormier, Gaëtan Cormier and the other members of the organizing committee and everyone else directly or indirectly involved the success of this event. This was our most profitable third-party fundraising event to date! Thank you for having health services in our region at heart.”

A special thank-you also goes out to all donors and sponsors who made it possible to raise such a considerable amount for our region. 95 CKNB radio station even sold its aging minivan and donated all the proceeds from the sale to the Foundation.
